The fox and the snail

Adaptation of Slovenian folk fable

The fox and the snail had a running match on who will get to the city first. The snail immediately started to crawl towards the city. The fox was convinced about winning and started to mock the snail and than took a nap in the shade of a big tree.

If you would like to find out who won the match, read this cute story. But the story (23 pages) is not the only thing this book is all about. Inside you will find everything you need to make a puppet show for the story. In the second part of the book you will find detail step-by-step instructions and templates for making the puppets of the fox, the snail and all the objects seen in the story. At the end of the book you will also find instructions for making a simple table stage.

Both of the characters in the story are in fact simple puppets made of felt. Likewise, all the elements in the scenes (trees, houses, sun, clouds…). Despite the fact that the scenes are composed of many separate photographs of the puppets, the objects and the scenery, you can directly use the story to make a puppet show.
